Last leaves

The colors of Autumn in New Hampshire can be almost overpowering. The intense reds, oranges, and yellows contrast with the unchanged green foliage. I like the end of the fall foliage season when just a few colorful leaves resist gravity for a little longer than their neighbors. Sometimes the leaves resting on the ground are sprinkled with frost crystals for just a few minutes after sunrise. Last Friday was that kind of morning.

I had the opportunity to photograph Ginga last week to begin a portfolio for her. Here is a small sample. There will be more.

Portsmouth at night

I happened to have my camera with me last Friday evening for an event in Portsmouth, so I thought I'd experiment with some long exposures of the local landscape, or actually the riverscape. These photos are of the Route 1 bridge to Kittery, Maine, and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Rye

Last weekend we took a field trip to the ocean in Rye, NH. The panoramic view wasn't very spectacular at the time of day we visited, but there were a lot of interesting little detailed scenes among the rocks. These were some I liked.
