The last day of November started off at four degrees at our house. By the time I got outside for some frost photos it had warmed up to ten, which felt rather comfortable!
The blog serves as an evolving gallery of my personal and commissioned photographs, and a place to share bits of news, tips, and opinions.

November 20 Frost
This morning was quite spectacular if you enjoy seeing frost on things other than your windshield. Everything in the yard was covered with white sugary-looking crystals.

Frost
Yesterday I experienced a happy coincidence: a quiet, frosty morning on a day when I had my camera and macro lens with me. So I walked and crawled around the yard to capture a few images of frosty leaves, frosty ice, monochromatic weeds, leaves on the ice, and ice on the leaves. A nice mix, I thought.

Last leaves

The colors of Autumn in New Hampshire can be almost overpowering. The intense reds, oranges, and yellows contrast with the unchanged green foliage. I like the end of the fall foliage season when just a few colorful leaves resist gravity for a little longer than their neighbors. Sometimes the leaves resting on the ground are sprinkled with frost crystals for just a few minutes after sunrise. Last Friday was that kind of morning.
