Creek Farm Loop Trail

Yesterday we took a short hike on the Loop Trail from Creek Farm, by the Wentworth Coolidge Mansion, and back. It is a nice little winding trail through the woods (watch for poison ivy just off the trail), with lots of ledge and stone walls, and a spur trail that leads to a lovely water view.

The new, short-lived blossoms contrast with the brick and multi-hundred year-old buildings that dominate the area. The colors appear and fade away within a couple of weeks, but those weeks are spectacular.

Jonathan Edwards at Prescott Park

I first saw Jonathan Edwards perform when I was in college, more than thirty-five years ago (yikes). I've seen him several times since then, most recently at Prescott Park last evening. His voice is as strong and clear now as it was when he was in his twenties, and he is an engaging and entertaining performer.
