Harvest time

On the day after Thanksgiving, we visited our kids in Western Massachusetts. We enjoyed another fine meal surrounded by evidence of the harvest: drying onions, peppers, corn, and radish pods. We took a walk and enjoyed the sunlight on the roadside weeds. We found decaying pumpkins in the woods and in the stream. We visited an abandoned mill site, and greeted the neighbor's cows before they headed in for the evening milking. It was a most enjoyable day.
